Nursery Today May 2021

This month we take a look at the stroller/pushchair category. Although the landscape for this particular product category may have altered with the introduction of the compact fold, there is still a demand for lightweight strollers – perhaps more so now that we are seeing the easing of restrictions when we look at the current endemic here in the UK.

These are sought by parents and childcare providers who are looking for a second pushchair while out and about – you can check out a variety of products that all fit the bill by turning to page 20.

We also feature interviews with Angelcare and Lansinoh. Angelcare have been at the forefront of monitor technology for well over 20 years and have stayed up to date with current technologies available while continuing to focus on key product features. Nursery Today caught up with their UK CEO, Julie Ebrey – turn to page 38 to find out more.Lansinoh are best known for all that is breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding can bring a huge level of anxiety for new mums. Nursery Today had the pleasure to question Lansinoh’s UK Marketing Manager, Lisa Craven to find out how they support mums during their breastfeeding journey. Simply head over to page 48 to find out more.

Our contributors continue to bring you articles of interest, with Pramland’s John Barker taking an overview of business since opening their doors on the 12th April over on page 34, while on page 41 Online4Baby’s Managing Director, Christy Foster focusses on stock and spiralling shipping costs.

With nursery stores having now opened their doors, we wanted to find out what type of support brands are currently offering and whether they expect any supply issues on the horizon. You can read what they have to say in Supplier Snapshot starting on page 44.Talking of nursery stores, opening a new store during a pandemic isn’t probably what most would think of even considering during such turbulent times.

However, last year that’s exactly what Baby B, based in Widley, successfully did.  You can read all about it in this month’s Retailer Profile starting on page 12. Another retailer and company who didn’t rest on their laurels during the Pandemic was Glasgow Pram Centre and Cybex. This year has also seen Cybex launch their biggest UK store at Glasgow Pram Centre.

You can check this out over on page 28. I have to say, it looks truly stunning! Finally, our cover star this month is My Babiie who are excited to announce their latest collaboration with new mum and television personality Dani Dyer – you can check out the great new ranges by turning to page 16.
