One of the UK’s largest independent nursery retailers is looking to recruit SENIOR ECOMMERCE EXECUTIVE.

Online4baby are a national e-commerce nursery products retailer based in Manchester (Junction 21 on the M60 Ring Road, ideal for people commuting to work from surrounding areas). As the one of largest UK independent nursery retailers, they offer customers a wide range of nursery products at the lowest possible prices supported by a dedicated sales team providing impartial and honest advice. They have more than doubled in size over the last 18 months and have big plans for the future, so it is an exciting time to join!

They are currently recruiting a SENIOR ECOMMERCE EXECUTIVE to work closely with the marketing team and alongside the Ecommerce Manager, assisting with the online sales performance of the business. Using analytics tools to monitor performance and making recommendations for changes along with identifying and launching new initiatives and campaigns to drive business growth.

This role would suit somebody with an excellent understanding of the ecommerce side of a business who is ambitious and driven with the desire to develop knowledge in this area.

Salary is £26k – 28k per annum (depending on experience) with working hours of Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.

Key Duties

Supporting the Ecommerce Manager, managing and delivering commercial trading through planning, co-ordinating and executing campaigns and product initiatives.

Testing and measuring different approaches to messaging, being creative and targeting those which drive the best results and response.

Writing product content to deliver strategic SEO value

Ensuring new and existing customers are provided with a first-class experience online by ensuring the site is kept up to date with correct offers, updated banners, new in products/brands etc.

Ensuring communications are sent out in a timely manner.

Continuously thinking of ways to drive customers to the website.

Reporting and analysing e-commerce KPI’s and data to ensure the maximisation of sales opportunities.

Competitor research including product and pricing analysis.

Working alongside key departments including marketing and customer service to ensure the smooth execution of promotional activity.

Using a variety of systems including Magento, Attraqt, Akeneo and Google Analytics.

Carrying out general admin tasks within the content management system.

Experience Needed

Good understanding of ecommerce and eager to develop knowledge in this area.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience within ecommerce/digital marketing.

Keen eye for detail and experience working to a high level of accuracy.

Analytical skills, able to provide an insight from data collected. 

Proven excellent time management skills.

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a wider team. 

Strong commercial mindset. 

Working knowledge of Google analytics, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Photoshop.
A good understanding of SEO principles.
