Maternal health brand and breastfeeding expert, Lansinoh, has announced its latest partnership to support new mums; the brand has teamed up with Epical Global to launch a live midwife chat service on Lansinoh’s website.

The chat service allows mums and mums-to-be to contact expert midwives seven days a week with any questions they have about their pregnancy, birth and post-partum journey.

The chat will be manned by ‘real’ expert midwives (not bots!) for ten hours per day on weekdays and six hours per day on weekends.

The function of the live midwife chat is designed to lend support and advice to new mums and parents from pregnancy to early parenting – up to 2 years post-partum. Midwives will be able to advise mums on pregnancy, labour, birth, breastfeeding and life with a newborn, and will aid in answering questions, dispelling misconceptions and being a general support during what can be sometimes quite an overwhelming time in a new parent’s life.

Lisa Craven, Lansinoh’s UK Marketing Manager said of the new initiative: “We are so excited to be able to offer this service in the UK. As a brand that has been trusted by mums for nearly 40 years, our goal is to support new mums in every aspect of their pregnancy and post-partum journey. We understand that services may have been stretched over the past couple of years and we hope that by offering this free service, mums to be and new mums can easily access support in their time of need.”

Joanne Parkington, CEO of Epical Global and a midwife for over 28 years, added: “The ethos of Epical Global is to provide evidenced based advice that will support women safely on their journey into motherhood by offering access to midwives, like myself, at the ease of a live chat. The live chat offers an easy and simple way to provide a personalised approach to the many questions and concerns that new mums have from pre-conception all the way through post-partum, and this service allows mums to feel supported every step of the way. We are so pleased to partner with Lansinoh on this amazing initiative and ensure that we can continue on our joint mission of supporting mums!”
