JMDA Design’s next live webinar on 1st November 2022 at 1pm GMT, will discuss the multi-faceted topic of sustainability in product design.
With environmental concerns making headline news on a daily basis, JMDA Design look at the goals and challenges as we strive for increased sustainability when designing new products.
As industries aim to reduce plastic production and consumption, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and build circular economies for waste management, never has the need been greater to increase sustainability. In their next webinar, JMDA are looking at strategies to drive product design with an increased consideration for sustainability. Challenging each part of the product design project to see if a more sustainable solution can be achieved, creates discussion and ideas that could be realised.
Chris Raynor, Director at JMDA Design says, “Sustainability in product design is a key topic for consideration in our aims to reduce waste and protect our planet for future generations to come. Bringing the main challenges to the forefront of developing new products, helps us get it right from the start.”
He adds, “Our webinar is designed to inspire new innovations and suggests areas to be considered to help build your own sustainability strategy. Whether you are actively involved in product design, sustainability is part of your role or you would just like to learn more about becoming more sustainable, this webinar will give you a proactive framework”.
Having recently appointed a new Sustainability Champion, Becky Worrall, at their Head Office in Pershore, Worcestershire, JMDA has long been passionate about sustainability with their car seat recycling initiative being featured on the BBC One Show in 2020. The challenges this project has faced is common to mixed material products and the logistical constraints of recycling.
