Baby Central specialises in supplying well known baby and maternity brands via their own e-commerce retail website and via their network of bricks and mortar retailers. They specialise in products for parents and babies to support through pregnancy and beyond whether it be baby bottles from Dr. Brown’s or the new and exciting WonderFold Wagon in the wheeled goods sector.

The Role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated National Account Manager to join their team. 

You will be focussed on selling the world’s favourite Stroller Wagon, Wonderfold, to both national and independent retailers along with running promotional events throughout the UK. 

You will need to demonstrate success within the Baby industry (with experience of wheeled goods an advantage) and possess an entrepreneurial flair to succeed within a talented & professional team based in Leek, Staffordshire. 

The ideal candidate will live within an hour of their Leek office. They offer a competitive salary, bonus scheme, company car allowance and lots of fun! The role will involve some weekend working at events. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Successfully managing a portfolio of existing national accounts, including customer presentations and meeting and the day-to-day operational needs.
  • Establish excellent relationships with your customers, identifying opportunities & needs, converting these to contribute to substantially growing the business for the Company.
  • Identifying exclusive product opportunities in your accounts, including the planning & development of customer specific projects from inception to delivery.
  • Developing annual trade plans by account to deliver the required sales targets.
  • Working in collaboration with the wider team to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Researching & sourcing potential new customers and converting to new business.
  • Maintaining excellent customer records.
  • Tracking, analysing, evaluating, and acting upon sales data & trends for your accounts.
  • Building a strong knowledge base of industry & customer information and sharing this with the wider business.
  • Working with internal teams to ensure customer orders are successfully fulfilled, delivered, and invoiced.
  • Forecasting stock and managing allocations.
  • Full P&L Responsibility
  • Attending trade shows in the UK and Europe.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • You will be an enthusiastic, dynamic, and hands-on person who is comfortable working in a small team environment. 
  • A proven record of achieving sales targets & opening new business.
  • Good presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, including making presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ideally you will have experience of selling wheeled goods 
  • The ability to analyse sales data & trends. 
  • Good organisational skills, impeccable attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • A full clean UK driving licence
