Nuna’s newest infant car seat, the PIPA next, is a born star and a lightweight safety wonder. The ADAC, conductor of the most rigorous car seat tests in Europe, has given the PIPA next with the base an overall high score of 1.6 (= Good) and the PIPA next without the base an overall score of 2.0 (= Good).
A Good ADAC ranking is respected around the world, and the ADAC is committed to transparency in their testing activities in support of the “Good Testing” guidelines from the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection in Germany. The ADAC evaluates each car seat’s safety, and the test’s criteria are considerably stricter than those used for the EC-R44 or R129 safety standard. The effects of both a frontal collision and side impact are tested by simulating a crash using a Volkswagen Polo VI.
The team at Nuna are very proud that the PIPA next with the base was given the best safety rating in the European test since 2016 for an infant car seat i-Size up to 83/85cm with best Side Impact Protection Rating.
With this result the PIPA next sets new standards regarding child safety.
