As part of its ongoing commitment to Musgrove Hospital during its 25th anniversary year, Hippychick is donating a selection of toys to the diabetes department for a Christmas party on 17th December.
The toys, provided by one of Hippychick’s leading suppliers of premium quality, hand crafted wooden toys, Classic World, will be festively wrapped, and gifted as presents to children with diabetes during the party.
Musgrove’s Paediatric Diabetes Team, who are organising the party, are thrilled to receive them. Commenting, they said: ‘The party is being laid on for children aged 10 and under who are having to deal with the lifelong and incurable condition that is diabetes. They are in and out of the department on a regular basis and will be for the rest of their lives. Our annual Christmas party is designed to help the children to regard the department not just as a hospital, where they come for treatment, but as a place of celebration, too. These gifts, so generously donated, are sure to add to the magic of the occasion and make it extra special.’
Julia Minchin, Founder of Hippychick, is also delighted to be able to supply these gifts to the department. ‘It’s been quite a year for Hippychick celebrating our 25th year in business. We’ve loved every moment of our commitment to Love Musgrove, the Trust’s charity, which has included the donation of gifts to paediatric wards at the hospital, a fund-raising 25km walk across the Quantocks, as well as gifts to the first 25 babies born at Musgrove on Hippychick’ s birthday, October 21st. Our customers are also donating to the charity when they purchase on line through our website at www.hippychick.com.
