Joie kicks off day of fun for Caudwell Children

There were smiles all round on Sunday as Joie was privileged to be able to take 10 youngsters from Caudwell Children to The Joie Stadium for a day of sporting fun.

Caudwell Children offers supports to thousands, empowering disabled and neurodivergent children and their families by providing personalised, practical and emotional support to help them realise their full potential.

Building relationships within the local community, Joie invited children who utilise the services of the charity to spend the day at The Joie Stadium, watching Man City Women snatch a 1-0 win from Liverpool Women.

The children were able to welcome the players as the entered the stadium before making their way to their own private hospitality experience within the Club’s famed Heart of the City. They were then treated to a special visit from club mascots Moonbeam and Moonchester as well as face painters who were on hand to give the kids a pre match makeover.

11-Year-Old Freddy Fox from Staffordshire, represented the charity as he walked on to the pitch with goalkeeper Ayaka Yamashita as the rest of the group pressed the blue button to officially start the game. Joie Managing Director, David Welsh, who watched the game with the youngsters, said: “As the official family partner of Man City Women, it was our absolute pleasure to welcome Caudwell Children to The Joie Stadium. Seeing their happy faces was the truly the highlight of the day.”
