Parents and retailers are being advised to check affected Maxi-Cosi products after a safety recall was issued for selected FamilyFix Slide Pro bases.
The Office for Product Safety & Standards (OPSS) has published a recall notice covering Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix Slide Pro bases manufactured between 6 September 2025 and 24 March 2026 after a potential fault was identified with the product’s fitting indicator.
According to the recall notice, the visual confirmation system may incorrectly indicate that the car seat has been securely installed when it has not been fully connected to the base. In certain circumstances, this could allow the seat to shift or detach during use, creating a possible injury risk.
Maxi-Cosi identified the issue during product testing carried out as part of its ongoing product development and safety procedures. The company has launched a voluntary recall and is urging consumers to stop using affected bases immediately while checks are carried out.
The recall relates specifically to the FamilyFix Slide Pro Base with item reference 8065057110. Consumers can verify whether their product is affected by checking the manufacturing date and product reference found on the label underneath the base via the Maxi-Cosi website.
The OPSS confirmed the product has been recalled from end users under the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
