The winner of the Baby Products Industry Association’s (BPIA) 2026 Concept & Innovation Awards is giving fellow finalists a helping hand by sharing part of its prize to support the development of their innovative baby product ideas.
Hegen, whose feeding and drinkware system scooped the top award at Harrogate International Nursery Fair, has generously offered to donate the Plan A Product Development mentoring element of its prize to fellow finalists Eimear Campbell and Natasha Artwell.
Hegen was chosen from three outstanding finalists, each presenting a concept with the potential to make a real difference to parents and their children. Eimear impressed the judges with Swishroll™, an ingenious solution designed to make cleaning stroller wheels easier, while Natasha presented Little Pair, a new concept in portable support for twins.
With its product already in production, Hegen recognised that the specialist mentoring offered by Plan A Product Development would be particularly valuable to Eimear and Natasha as they explore the next steps in bringing their concepts to market.
This thoughtful gesture means both finalists will benefit from expert guidance to help them develop their ideas further, demonstrating the collaborative spirit at the heart of the awards. While celebrating outstanding innovation, the BPIA Concept & Innovation Awards also aim to encourage fresh thinking and help promising new ideas progress towards commercial reality.
Plan A Product Development supports innovators throughout the product development journey, helping them turn promising concepts into commercially viable products. Scott Blease, Founder of the company, comments: “What a fantastic gesture from Hegen and a wonderful example of the supportive spirit within our industry. At Plan A, we’re passionate about helping great ideas become great products, and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to support Eimear and Natasha as they take the next exciting steps towards bringing their innovations to market.”
The BPIA congratulates all three finalists on their achievements and thanks Hegen for this generous contribution to nurturing new talent and championing innovation across the baby products industry.
