Australian baby review Tell Me Baby has grown into a number one baby review site in Australia, now they’re looking to do the same in the UK
When Julia and Mat Colbron became parents for the first time, they turned to the internet – like most new parents do – for guidance and advice on what to buy their baby. They quickly became overwhelmed: there was so much information, a lot of it contradictory, as well as biased product reviews from bloggers and influencers.
In the end, it was advice from other parents that was most valuable to them, helping steer them through the challenges of their new and unfamiliar roles.
With this philosophy of ‘parents helping other parents’, Julia and Mat founded Tell Me Baby in Australia, an online community where mums, dads and carers can swap unbiased, honest advice about pregnancy, baby and toddler products.
The newly launched UK site follows the ethos of the Australian site, encouraging parents to leave reviews of baby products they’ve tried, incentivising through an appealing rewards program. Those reviews then help other parents as they research what to buy for their own families.
Tell Me Baby co-founder Laura Langthorne says, “New millennial parents rely on peer to peer trusted reviews as a key part of their buying decision. Reviews have the power to influence someone to purchase your product over another one,” says Laura. “At Tell Me Baby, parents research baby products and read genuine reviews from other parents. The reviews not only appear on the Tell Me Baby website but they can also be syndicated on retailer and brand channels, helping parents at the point of purchase.”
As well as the reviews, Tell Me Baby is also launching their Bump, Baby and Tot boxes, which are beautiful, gift boxes with valuable samples for mums and mums-to-be. The boxes are completely free and will be posted direct to homes.
