Vista PR is proudly celebrating their colleague, Georgina Morgan, who has completed the 2026 TCS London Marathon with the help of an 80 year old legend, raising £3,500 for the NSPCC – despite being, by her own admission, absolutely not a runner.
George’s furthest distance before race day was a 5K parkrun, and she only entered the public ballot because her ultra‑marathon‑running older brother dared her to. She assumed she’d never get in. The universe, however, had other plans.
What followed was 26.2 miles of nerves, determination, and one unforgettable encounter with an 80‑year‑old marathon veteran, Sue Nicholls, who became George’s unofficial “pen buddy” on the course.

George said: “It was my first marathon and the nerves were loud. Then I saw Sue and thought, there’s a woman who’s going to calm me down. And boy, she delivered. ‘Don’t be nervous, I’m 80,’ she told me. It was her 31st marathon, her 14th London. She started running at 63! We kept crossing paths. Every so often I’d hear, ‘Hello, me again,’ and it felt like a boost of magic each time. She steadied me, lifted me, and reminded me what this is all about. I’ll never forget her, she was the cherry on London’s beautifully iced cake that day.”
Jane Pavia, Vista PR Managing Director added: “We never doubted George. 20 years of grit and determination in the PR industry laid the perfect foundation for this gruelling physical challenge. We are so incredibly proud of our Vista Sista on her achievement.”
George is now recovering in the only way she trained for: a marathon of snacks, naps and telling everyone she knows that she ran the London Marathon.
