Cybex the global baby brand renowned for its luxurious pushchairs, car seats, and baby carriers, has once again been awarded the German Design Award.
Three CYBEX products received the title of ‘Winner’ in the ‘Excellent Product Design – Baby and Childcare’ category including the GAZELLE S stroller, the EEZY S+2 and the SOLUTION Z i-FIX child car seat.
Since 2011, the German Design Award not only honours particularly innovative products and projects that are unique in the German design landscape, but also their designers and producers.
CYBEX GAZELLE S
The CYBEX GAZELLE S is an all-rounder for urban parents. The agile, lightweight stroller is ideal for shopping trips in the city with an additional detachable shopping basket. The GAZELLE S is the first travel system by CYBEX that can be used as both a mono pushchair and sibling or twin pushchair effortlessly, offering 20 different configurations for parents on the go.
To make life easy for parents, the GAZELLE S has a simple “Plug-and-Play” system, using integrated adapters that slide up and down the frame to the correct position rather than an additional kit.
The GAZELLE S was praised for its balanced, straightforward design and was described as “an impressive and elegant modern stroller with a high level of functionality.”
CYBEX EEZY S+2
The design of the EEZY S+2 is the perfect travel companion for families. The stroller is a travel system and can be used with a seat unit, the COT S or one of CYBEX’s award-winning car seats including the CLOUD Z i-SIZE. Its minimal form and high-quality materials give the EEZY S+2 a timeless appearance.
The EEZY S+2 was recognised for its versatility with the judges describing the product as featuring “simple controls allowing for horizontal and vertical seating, ensuring a long life for the product”.
CYBEX SOLUTION Z i-FIX
Combining elegance with safety, the SOLUTION Z i-FIX offers the highest level of comfort for the child. The seat grows with the child and can be used from approximately three to 12 years old.
The car seat features the integrated Linear Side-Impact Protection System (L.S.P.) which reduces the forces of an impact from a side-impact collision by approximately 25%.
It was described as; “striking, protective and durable, the feature-rich children’s car seat not only adheres to the latest international safety standards, it also provides customisable elements to fully meet the comfort needs of young children as they grow.”
CYBEX MELIO CARBON
The CYBEX MELIO CARBON received a ‘Special Mention’. Weighing just 5.9kg, it is the lightest stroller in the CYBEX family. Whilst often seen in the motorsport and civil engineering world, carbon fibre is also the perfect material for pushchairs thanks to its maximum strength, durability, stability and light weight.
The judges described the pushchair as “a featherweight, versatile stroller that is perfectly suited to modern city life”.
