The December digital edition of Nursery Today is ready and available to read now.
Check out this month’s issue where we take a closer look at the car seat sector. This category is continuing to evolve and keep pace with trends, lead the way in innovation and now sees a nod towards sustainability with many brands looking closely at the fabrics, packaging and the type of plastics used. Simply turn to page 18 to read more, where you can also view among the pages a great range of car seats that are ready to order now. Regular contributor John Barker at Pramland (Barking Mad page 30) also gives his view on this product category with a look at invention, innovation and meeting current consumer trends, desires and demands.
Car seat brands are also firmly focussed on the upcoming changes with the cessation of R44 car seats in the UK from September 2023 with the new R129 (i-Size) standard in mind and are refining their current ranges in readiness. We cover this in our Supplier Snapshot pages where we speak to some of the industry’s finest to find out more on how they are keeping abreast of consumer buying behaviour, trends and innovation to continue to ensure this category evolves and innovates (turn to page 28 to read more).
Talking of car seats, this month Nursery Today also had the pleasure to speak with Maxi-Cosi’s UK & Ireland Marketing Manager Debbie Wakefield. As a brand Maxi-Cosi has become one of the market leaders when we look at car seats since launching their first product in 1984. To find out more about this forward-thinking car seat brand simply turn to page 24.
Within this issue we also take a look at the Mother&Baby 2022 Awards. This year was again a virtual affair with the winners being announced on the 23rd November. You can find a list of all the winners starting on page 32 where we also shine the light on some of the winning products.
Over on page 12 you will find our Retailer Profile where Nursery Today had the pleasure to speak with Lorretta Owen of Jolly Tots. This independent retailer has been in business for more than 30 years – turn to page 12 where you can find out all about them.
Regular contributor Christy Foster (Managing Director, Online4Baby) illustrates over on page 45 how as a team they are putting their best foot forward, rising to new challenges and getting creative with their marketing mix.
