The Pure Foundation Fund was created by WaterWipes in 2020 to recognise and celebrate the exceptional care provided by maternity professionals, neonatal staff, midwives, community nurses and health visitors every day.

WaterWipes is committed to supporting and rewarding the incredible efforts of healthcare professionals who care for expectant parents, new parents and babies, whether that be providing life-saving care, guidance and reassurance, or a calm presence and kindness. That is why WaterWipes is calling for parents and healthcare professionals to nominate a care provider or colleague who goes above and beyond for the Pure Foundation Fund award, which will be open for online submissions from Monday 16th May – 30th June 2022.

This year, a panel from WaterWipes and representatives from Bliss and Institute of Health Visiting (iHV) from the UK and the Irish Neonatal Health Alliance (INHA) and Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) in Ireland will review all nominations and select two winners, one from the UK and one from Ireland.

Each winner will receive a bursary of £10,000 (UK) or €10,000 (IRE) for their department to continue to improve the care of parents and babies. The winners will also receive a bulk donation of WaterWipes® for their organisation, a WaterWipes Pure Foundation Fund plaque and a £100 /€100 One4All Voucher to treat themselves.

Ailbhe O’Briain, WaterWipes HCP Marketing Manager UK & Ireland said; “We are thrilled to be launching Pure Foundation Fund for the third year in 2022. It’s our privilege to acknowledge the outstanding patient and infant care delivered daily by an army of beyond incredible healthcare professionals. We are hoping to encourage people to nominate themselves, a colleague or someone within the maternity, neonatal and health visiting/public health nursing profession that has left a lasting impression during that journey for the award.”

Steve Pitman, Head of Education and Professional Development INMO and one of the judging panel, commented; “We are delighted at the INMO to once again support such a prestigious scheme that honours healthcare professionals within public health nursing, neonatal and maternity care.”
