Brand Licensing Europe nominates Sebby’s Corner as one of the event’s official charity partners for 2025

BLE exhibitors are invited to show support by donating product samples from their stands in October.

Brand Licensing Europe has nominated Sebby’s Corner as an official charity partner for 2025. This year’s BLE – Europe’s leading event for licensing and brand extension – takes place at ExCeL London from 7-9 October.

Sebby’s Corner provides support to vulnerable families living in poverty across the UK capital. They include people escaping domestic abuse, refugees, asylum seekers and victims of modern slavery and human trafficking.

The charity firmly believes that no child should go without the essentials needed to thrive and provides a range of services aligned with this ethos, including:

  • Essentials support: Clothing, nappies, formula and baby equipment.
  • Birthday club: Celebrating children’s birthdays by providing gifts and essentials.
  • Christmas/holiday season support: Offering assistance during the holiday season.
  • School uniform support
  • Citizens Advice at Sebby’s Corner

In April, the Brand Licensing Europe team will visit Sebby’s Corner to volunteer at the centre packing family referrals, sorting donations and making children’s clothing pre-packsAnd, in October, the Sebby’s Corner team will attend BLE and talk to exhibitors about how they can support the charity, whether that’s through donating BLE display and sample products at the end of the show or through financial donations and/or volunteering.

At BLE, Sebby’s Corner will be happy to receive:

  • Any new toys from newborn up to ages 15/16, including unboxed toys in excellent condition
  • Any soft toys or dress up clothes (fire labels mandatory)
  • Battery-operated toys as long as they take UK sized batteries
  • New bedding sets (cot/toddler size and single)
  • Branded children’s pyjamas up to the age of 10
  • Children’s clothing up to the age of 10

They cannot accept gaming consoles or tablets, toy guns or toy swords.

BLE event director Ella Haynes said: “Our exhibitors bring hundreds, if not thousands, of product samples to BLE every year to showcase their brands and, this year, we are inviting them to join us in supporting Sebby’s Corner by donating leftover or excess products to the charity after the show is over.

“Sebby’s Corner has an incredible reach and will be able to share these products with countless individuals and families in need. With BLE taking place at the start of the festive season, this initiative is a lovely opportunity to bring joy to families who might otherwise struggle to give their children gifts. By donating, our exhibitors can make a meaningful difference to many, many lives and help spread a little extra cheer during the holidays.”

One BLE exhibitor who has been supporting Sebby’s Corner for some time is Hasbro. Donna Crook, Hasbro in the Community, said:  “Hasbro UK is proud to support Sebby’s Corner and the invaluable work they do in their local community. Since 2022, we have seen first-hand the dedication of Bianca and the Sebby team in ensuring that families facing hardship receive the baby essentials they need, from prams, cots, nappies, baby formula. Hasbro UK have provided clothing, PJ’s, shoes along with toys and games that bring moments of joy to children.

“Sebby’s Corner provides a vital lifeline to families who might otherwise go without, offering practical support with warmth and compassion. Their commitment to making a real difference is truly inspiring, and we are delighted to play a small part in helping them continue their incredible work”

Information about Sebby’s Corner and how and what to donate will be included in the BLE exhibitor manual, on the BLE website and in BLE exhibitor marketing communications.
