Jason Mahy of Aladdin’s Cave and Allen Murray of One For Fun were honoured with the BTHA recognition on the first evening of the Toymaster May Show.
Golden Teddy Awards were presented by the BTHA to two respected members of the toy industry during the first evening of the Toymaster May Show in Harrogate.
Roland Earl, Director General of the BTHA, presented Jason Mahy of Aladdin’s Cave Ltd, Guernsey, and Allen Murray of One For Fun with the prestigious awards.
Colin Houlihan, Chairman of the BTHA, said: “On behalf of us all at the British Toy & Hobby Association, my congratulations go to both Jason and Allen – two veryworthy Golden Teddy Award winners, and we are all inspired by their loyal and genuine contributions to the industry over many years. Our winners represent all that is good about this fantastic industry – dedication, integrity and going over and above expectations. My congratulations once again to them both.”
As part of their award presentations, reasons cited included their enthusiasm for toys, dedicated service to the industry through toy sales, commitment to their customers, trustworthiness within their companies, and as people of fairness and great standing amongst peers and colleagues alike.
Golden Teddy Awards are given to people who have gone over and above expectations and who possess an extraordinary degree of niceness, honesty and integrity and are the industry’s genuinely good people. Golden Teddy Awards give individual contribution and dedication over the years the public recognition it deserves.
