For the first time in its 27-year history, the Mother&Baby Awards hosted a virtual event.
Streamed online at 4pm on Tuesday 24th November, this year’s awards were hosted by Bauer Media UK’s Editorial Director, Lucie Cave and Bauer Media Group’s Digital Editor for Mother&Baby, Maria Martin.

Supported by supermarket giant Asda, the awards celebrate products, stores and brands chosen by Mother&Baby readers that are proudly tried and tested by real mums, before they land in stores in 2021. The established accolade is highly-coveted by brands and trusted by mothers – it is the one parenting award everyone in the industry wants to win.

To create the live streamed event, the M&B team embarked on a new partnership with tech services provider CrowdComms, following their successful work with the recent virtual National Rail Awards. This is alongside their established partnership with events company, Eclipse.
The virtual event brought together a larger audience then in previous years, including some well-known names from across the parenting world to see the winners announced. This is the biggest audience the awards have ever had and more than double the capacity of previous years physical venues. The online platforms live chat and private messaging features also offered attendees the chance to network and share their comments throughout the event.
Maria Marin, Digital Group Editor, Mother & Baby commented:
“Mother&Baby awarded products are TRIED, TESTED and TRUSTED by real mums so whether they are a first-time Mum or an experienced parent, shoppers can trust the products to make her life easier. That is why taking home a Mother&Baby Award makes such a difference to the parenting industry.”
