National Breastfeeding Event Returns Encouraging Mums Across the Country to Celebrate the Wonders of Breast Milk
The national initiative which celebrates breastfeeding and the wonders of breast milk is set to return for its 8th year next month! The Big Breastfeeding Café will take place on the 12th May and returns with the same clear intentions, to bring together thousands of mums yet again, from all across the country, to honour all things breastfeeding and shout about breastmilk in all its glory!
Run by global breastfeeding brand, Medela, this year the campaign is going back to its roots, taking place in mum’s homes, village halls and breastfeeding groups across the UK. Seeing the return of the ‘in person’ element after the uncertainty of the last few years, the café has never been easier to join. Mums can simply get together with a breastfeeding buddy (or two, or ten!) on the day over a cuppa, a slice of cake and good conversation.
Evolving with the times, the initiative will also retain its virtual activity this year, to ensure even more mums are involved and all boundaries broken – sharing advice, positivity and building communities of fellow mums. In fact, the live activity will be as vibrant as ever, with engaging live content planned from morning till night on the 12th May. From Pilates stretches, to real life mum stories, expert advice and a globally recognised breastfeeding researcher – it is set to be a truly special day for all mums.
Breastmilk is a magical thing – full of millions of live cells, antibodies and with an ability to constantly adapt to meet baby’s needs, it’s called liquid gold for a reason! Breastmilk (and the mama’s making it!) is something to be celebrated for sure!

Mums taking part can even get their space looking that part too using Medela’s easy to use, downloadable decorations (which includes everything from bunting, cake toppers and even conversation starters to spark the breastfeeding chat!).
