Maxi-Cosi scores top marks

Despite the global lockdown, there’s good news from Maxi-Cosi as they announce the results of the recent Stiftung Warentest bi-annual research session. In the results published for May 2020, Maxi-Cosi performed fantastically across three seats from the brand’s extensive range.

Rating amongst the highest performers in the test was the revolutionary Maxi-Cosi Coral, which was awarded four stars when used both belted and with the Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix³ Base. This is just the second time that StiWa has tested the Group 0+/1/2/3 car seat category, and the team at Dorel Juvenile is extremely proud of this milestone.

The judges were impressed with Coral’s ease of use for parents, awarding it almost the full five stars. They found it easy to fit, both with a seat belt and with the use of the allocated Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix³ Base. The infant carrier, which houses an integrated soft carrier to cut the carrying weight by half, also performed positively in the safety category in the event of a collision. Overall, it was rewarded a well-deserved four stars when used in both modes.

The brand’s Group 2/3 heroes Kore and Kore Pro i-Size also scored highly, each taking four stars a piece. These were also awarded five stars for their ease of use.

Marketing Manager of Maxi-Cosi in the UK and Ireland, Debbie Wakefield said:
“To have received such an accolade in an international testing foundation is testament to the design and in-house testing of our car seat line at Maxi-Cosi. Each of our car seats is tested above and beyond the regulated requirements before it goes to market.  These results confirm why we are a market leader in all areas of children’s travel. We are excited to see how Coral will revolutionise the infant carrier market and look forward to more great things throughout 2020.”

Stiftung Warentest is a foundation that was set-up in 1964 by the German federal parliament to help consumers choose the best product for their needs. They do this by providing impartial and objective information based on the results of comparative investigations of goods and services. To do this, they undertake a consumer’s journey to purchase with a brand and carry out independent lab tests that go above and beyond the regulated safety measures. They then give their verdicts from ‘very good’ to ‘unsatisfactory’ based upon the findings of these tests and finally publish these bi-annually.

Maxi-Cosi Coral launched in April 2020 and is available in Authentic Black, Authentic Graphite and Neo Green. The recommended retail price is £239. For more information log onto www.maxi-cosi.co.uk.
