Rhys Thomas appointed new editor of Toys n Playthings magazine.

Rhys takes over the post from Anthony Clarke, who has stepped down to pursue new opportunities and bring his expertise to other projects within the Lema Publishing portfolio.

Rhys brings 15 years of experience in B2B publishing to role, including eight years as a writer and assistant editor of Toys n Playthings, as well as a number of other leading Lema Publishing titles until 2020.

“I’m excited to return to Lema Publishing and Toys n Playthings, a magazine with an incredible history and reputation, and one for which I have tremendous affection”

He has since worked in senior editorial positions for a number of leading B2B media companies, and as an editorial and communications consultant for the world’s largest online marketplace.

Claire Naish, Sales Director, Lema Publishing, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Rhys back to Lema Publishing and have no doubt that he will bring fresh ideas to Toys n Playthings during a period of growth for the title. I’d also like to thank Anthony on behalf of the entire team for his hard work and dedication on steering the title over the past year. Under his editorship, TnP has gone from strength to strength, and the team looks forward to continuing to grow the vertical.”

Rhys added: “I’m excited to return to Lema Publishing and Toys n Playthings, a magazine with an incredible history and reputation, and one for which I have tremendous affection, having joined the title as a junior writer back in 2012. Thanks to those familiar faces in the toy industry who have already reached out, and I look forward to connecting with more of you in the months to come as we ramp up to Q4 – and then, of course, toy fair season.”
