The Baby Products Industry Association (BPIA) proudly returned to Cologne this September, bringing the UK Pavilion back to Kind + Jugend (9–11 September 2025) for the first time since 2019. The show — recognised as one of the world’s leading trade fairs for the nursery sector — marked an important milestone for the Association and its members.

Before the pandemic, the BPIA hosted Kind + Jugend’s largest national pavilion, showcasing nearly 70 British brands. This year, the UK Pavilion returned with a focused but impactful line-up of five innovative exhibitors: Baby By U, Baby Up by Albani, My Carry Potty, penny+kids, and Cardea Solutions. Situated in Hall 10.2, the UK Pavilion enjoyed high visibility and strong international footfall.

The UK Pavilion was supported by sponsors BabyStyle and SB Global Logistics, with added networking opportunities including a drinks reception on opening day that drew key buyers and suppliers from across the global nursery sector.

Marc Hardenberg, chair of the BPIA, said: “We’re delighted to be back at Kind + Jugend. The UK Pavilion has been a real success for everyone involved. Exhibitors met with major retailers during our meet-and-greet sessions — including representatives from John Lewis and Amazon — and our networking event saw a fantastic turnout. It’s been wonderful to reconnect with members and engage with new prospects attending the show.”

Exhibitors reported strong results, highlighting the Pavilion’s visibility and the support provided by the BPIA team.

  • Baby By U, a finalist in the BPIA Concept & Innovation Awards, praised the Pavilion as a “startup-friendly package” that simplified logistics and opened doors to international buyers.
  • Cardea Solutions described the Pavilion as offering “invaluable access to top retailers” and an opportunity to share insights with fellow UK brands.
  • Baby Up by Albani called the experience “transformative,” noting the prime location, end-to-end support, and introductions to major industry contacts.
  • Penny + Kids emphasised that without the BPIA’s support, attending would have been “nearly impossible” for a startup.
  • Established brand My Carry Potty also celebrated success, calling this year’s show “one of the best ever,” with positive meetings across its UK and international networks.

The BPIA’s successful return demonstrates the strength of the UK Pavilion as a launchpad for British nursery brands aiming to expand their global reach.

Marc added: “We will definitely be looking to rebook space at Kind + Jugend 2026, when we hope to encourage many more members to join us and fly the British flag as ‘the nation of innovation.’”
