Five halls packed with favourite and new brands ensured business was brisk.

As the doors of the Harrogate Convention Centre closed on Harrogate International Nursery Fair 2021 yesterday, exhibitors and visitors were still buzzing from the exhilaration of being able to meet face-to-face and network with industry colleagues for the first time in over two years.

Five halls were packed with favourite and new brands and business was brisk as buyers placed orders for products they hadn’t had the chance to see before, with many snapping up exclusive show bargains. The Sunday Night Party, was an outstanding success with more than 500 people attending, enjoying free drinks, a hot buffet and live music.

Feedback for the event has been overwhelmingly positive with Alan Houghton of Hippychick exclaiming: “It’s absolutely fantastic to be back a Harrogate International Nursery Fair and see familiar faces and brands as well as lots of new ones. The whole show has had a good buzz and vibe and it was lovely to have face to face meeting with retailers and actually get out to network within the industry.”

Judith Stark of Halilit added: “We have had an amazing show – quite possible our best ever Nursery Fair. It has been fantastic to meet people face to face after all this time and we had a tremendous reaction to our new Taf Toys launches and we couldn’t be happier.”

Becky Rowlands of Bizzigrowin commented: “The show was a major success for our brand. We made a lot of new connections not only with retailers from the UK, but distributors from Europe too, which we didn’t expect. It was so nice after the last two years to actually have face-to face meetings with retailers as well as catch up generally with other suppliers. We couldn’t have asked for more.”

With a closing announcement that next year’s show will take place from 16th to 18th October 2022 at the Harrogate Convention Centre. Adrian Sneyd, show organiser, concludes: “This year’s show exceeded everyone’s expectations. After such a long break, I believe that we all hoped for a successful event, but with a sold-out show and serious buyers voting with their feet and placing quality orders on almost every stand – the whole experience has been totally amazing and exactly what the industry needed to get business back on track. We are now looking forward to welcoming everyone back to show in October 2022.”
